Basis Converter
The Basic - Converter comprises a multifunctional tool which enables the rapid creation of a machine programs from geometry information. Data can be improrted via any 2 D - DXF file, then corresponding tool specific technology is applied prior to post processing the data in ESSI or EIA data format.
Layout Manager (LMM)
The Layout Manager comprises a multitude of features, which allows user-friendly generation of a nested program from the geometric information available.
Parts list (PSL)
The parts list allows entering and management of the parts data. On the printout parts list entries are set in relation to the parts in the nesting plan. Parts list is automatically saved with the nesting plan. It is possible to call-up the parts list at any time.
Extended Technology Package (ETP)
This module contains a multitude of features for optimization of the quality of the nesting and technology. Optimized programs simultaneously enhance the cut quality and reduce cutting costs.
Data manager (DMM)
The Data Management Module is used for the organisation and administration of the geometries to be processed.
Plate manager (PMM)
With the Plate Management Module you can define and manage new plates and or remnant plates. The Plate Management Module can be used independently from the Data Manager.
Data information module (DIM)
The Data Information Module evaluates the process data generated by COLUMBUS, paths, material utilisation, areas and weights are established. The evaluation process can be enhanced in other applications by using the PPS option (consisting of 64 data sets).
Automatic nesting
Automatic real contour nesting of any geometry - however complex. AutoNest identifies and automatically creates pairing parts. Independently adyustable nesting parameters enable maximum plate utilization.
PPS Interface module (PPS)
COLUMBUS is able to import or export PPS, calculation and geometry data by importing parts lists of components as well as parts lists of plates, together with the assigned geometry data.
Bevel module (VBA)
This Bevel Module supports oxy-fuel, plasma and laser bevel cutting. Special functions and automatic features such as automatic generation of corner loops and switching functions are required for fast and reliable program generation with regard to bevel technology. The user can define constant or variable bevel angles.
Internal CAD
DigiCAD is a fully integrated program with direct, bi-directional, data transfer. Developed especially for 2-D design and construction of cutting geometries. DigiCAD can be used in connection with the Basis Converter, Layout Manager or the Data Manager.
